Anthurium oxycarpum × nigrolaminum is an F1 hybrid crossed and grown from seed in our own greenhouse.

This cross combines Anthurium oxycarpum with Anthurium nigrolaminum. The young plants develop elongated, oval to slightly heart-shaped leaves with a smooth surface and subtle venation. New leaves emerge in a fresh, lighter green before gradually deepening in colour as they mature.

As these plants are grown from seed, natural variation occurs within the cross. Individual plants may differ in leaf shape, proportions, colour and venation, and these characteristics can continue to develop as the plants mature.

Compared with some of our more heavily textured or strongly veined Anthurium hybrids, this cross has a beautifully understated appearance at this stage. How those characteristics will develop further as the plants grow is part of what makes our F1 hybrids so interesting.
