Anthurium magnificum × luxurians is an F1 hybrid crossed and grown from seed in our own greenhouse.

This cross combines Anthurium magnificum with the distinctive textured foliage of Anthurium luxurians. The young plants develop broad, heart-shaped leaves with a gently quilted surface and subtle venation. New growth can emerge in lighter green to bronze tones before gradually deepening in colour as the leaf hardens.

As these plants are grown from seed, natural variation occurs within the cross. Individual plants may differ in leaf shape, colour, texture and venation, and these characteristics can continue to develop and become more pronounced as the plants mature.

The young plants already give us a first glimpse of what this combination can produce, but their mature appearance is still developing — part of what makes growing our own F1 hybrids so interesting.
