Anthurium crystallinum × luxurians is an F1 hybrid crossed and grown from seed in our own greenhouse.

This cross brings together two Anthurium species known for very different foliage characteristics. The young plants already show an intriguing combination: deep green, heart-shaped leaves with subtle contrasting venation and a strongly textured surface. New leaves emerge in warm bronze to reddish tones before gradually turning green.

As these plants are grown from seed, natural variation occurs within the cross. Individual plants may differ in leaf shape, colour, venation and texture, and these characteristics can continue to change and become more pronounced as the plants mature.

That unpredictability is part of what makes our in-house F1 hybrids so interesting. The young plants already give a first indication of their character, while their mature appearance is still developing.
