Anthurium magnificum × Anthurium crystallinum is a first-generation (F1) hybrid from our in-house breeding programme.

This cross brings together two classic velvet-leaved Anthurium species. Anthurium magnificum is known for its substantial, broad foliage, while Anthurium crystallinum contributes its elegant heart-shaped leaves and striking contrasting venation.

Already at this young stage, the seedlings show attractive velvety foliage with prominent pale veins and a balanced, elongated heart-shaped leaf form. As the plants mature, each seedling will continue to develop its own individual combination of characteristics inherited from both parents.

As with all seed-grown F1 hybrids, every plant is genetically unique. Differences in leaf shape, colour, venation and growth are therefore a natural part of this cross.

To maximize the chances of discovering exceptional new cultivars, we germinate considerably more seedlings than we ultimately need. The most promising individuals are retained for our breeding programme, while the remaining healthy seedlings are offered in limited quantities through our In-House Hybrids collection.

This plant has been grown from seed in our own breeding programme and is not a tissue-cultured clone.
